 Student Life

The Students’ Administration Department offers services that cater for the general welfare of students.  The department is managed by the Dean of students, assisted by 6 full time employees. The activities of the department include:

Orientation programme for new students 

Upon admission, students are issued with students’ rules and regulations and the KUCSA constitution.  The department guides them through these rules in a bid to make them adjust to college life much faster and without any problems that may be prevented.

New students tour the college facilities guided by the KUCSA officials. The KUCSA officials also take this opportunity to bring them up to speed with College life.

The Dean in consultation with the principal organizes and manages the course opening and introduction meeting. This provides an opportunity to all the students to meet the management and academic staff before the commencement of the learning programme.

Room allocation to students

The hostel warden allocates the rooms on campus.  Students reside in the college, with close proximity to the learning venues. They are provided with full accomodation, fun activities and a conducive learning environment to support their class activities.

Students’ Functions

Students are encouraged to host and participate in many diverse functions in order to enrich their learning and personal lives. these functions are co-ordinated through the Dean of Students's office.  Security for such functions is provided by the security department.

KUCSA elections

These are held every year on the last Friday of February.  The dean is the Returning officer on the day of the elections.  A handing over seminar is held thereafter where out and in coming KUCSA officials are addressed by the principal.

Students ComplainTs:-

Hostel matters

are forwarded to the Hostel Warden through the Hostel Committee then to the Dean of Students.

Administrative matters

Dean of students, Deputy Principal and Principal.

Academic Matters

Head of Departments or Dean of Students, Director of Studies,    Deputy Principal and Principal.

General Grievances

Students Governing Council, Dean of Students and Principal.

Emergency and Security matters

Chief Security Officer or security at the College gate Manager on duty at Utalii Hotel to handle urgent cases during the weekend.

Disciplinary Matters

Disciplinary matters are reported to the Dean of Students.  Dean of Students advises in support of or against the recommended kind of disciplinary action.

Cleanliness

The cleanliness committee handles this matter.  Deals with the halls, classrooms and administration block.

The department is headed by the Dean of Students who work in consultation with the Principal, Deputy Principal and Director of Studies.  The department has the following members of staff:
