FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICE AND SALES COURSE (BASIC LEVEL) 1YEAR

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The F&B Service and Sales Department is an academic department charged with the responsibility of training matters.

This is a one year programme covering all aspects of Food and Beverage Service and Sales techniques. The students are exposed to all types of restaurant Service, Bar Operations and Food and wine Knowledge. In addition to theoretical learning, this course entails intensive Practical training at both the College’s demonstration Restaurant, In-training in other Hotels and its application Hotel –Utalii Hotel.

There are two intakes in a year for Food and Beverage Service and Sales (Basic and Advanced) courses, that is in May and October every year, the Advertisements appear in early January and April for May and October Intakes Respectively.

HOW TO APPLY

Submit a written application, indicating your District and Province of Birth and attach all copies of academic and School Leaving Testimonials and National Identity Card. Age Should be between 18-30 yrs. You can also visit our website on the following address www.utakii.co.ke for more details.

COURSE SET UP

There are two intakes per year for both Service Basic & Service Advanced. One intake comprising of Basic & Advanced students is in May and other in October.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION

Ordinary Level Candidates 3rd Division at ‘O’ Level or its equivalent, with good credits in English Language and a pass in Mathematics.

8-4-4 (KCSE) candidates aggregate C- with minimum grade of C- in English.
